A toy between art and mathematics

Triangles become animals. Hexagons become flowers. Squares and rhombuses arrange themselves into letters, numbers, and things that don't have names yet. With 250 magnetic pieces in 8 different shapes, the Magnetic Mosaic is the kind of toy that starts with a puzzle card and ends somewhere nobody expected.

One game at age 3, another at 5, and a fun time for everyone else, too

A 3-year-old matches shapes by color. A 5-year-old recreates the pattern on the card. A grandparent suggests a different arrangement entirely, and suddenly it's a whole conversation. The 96 puzzle cards range from simple to genuinely challenging, which means there's always a next level, and always a reason to come back.

*****

This one was picked as her β€œbest birthday gift” this year.

"We gave this to our granddaughter for her birthday and she hasn't stopped. She works through the cards, makes her own designs.. I was very proud when she picked this one as her favorite amongst new toys."

Numbers. Letters. Animals. And whatever they imagine.

The puzzle cards guide kids through number recognition, letter formation, shape matching, and math basics. However, the real magic happens when they put the cards away and just build. A boat. A face. A number 7 made entirely of parallelograms. Every session is different, and every session teaches something without feeling like a lesson.

A gift with 999 possible starting points

Whether it's a birthday, a holiday, or just the right moment, the Magnetic Mosaic is the kind of gift that doesn't get set aside after the first week. It stays on the table, on the fridge, on the magnetic board: always one shape away from the next idea.

The 250 pieces are plenty for two kids to build at once without fighting over the triangles. My 5-year-old figured out the hexagons and trapezoids on her own, and the magnets snap together firmly enough that her creations survive being carried around the house.

We've had this set for a week and my kindergartner already figured out how to build a rocket ship using the triangles and trapezoids. The foam pieces are just the right size for small hands, and the magnetic backing keeps everything from sliding off the fridge.

Jason β˜…β˜…β˜…β˜…β˜…

The 250 pieces come in eight different shapes, so my daughter actually sits and figures out how the trapezoids and rhombuses fit together instead of just stacking squares. The magnets hold well on the fridge too, which keeps her busy while I cook.
